Omala LGA Executive Chairman Reconstitutes Education Committee to Enhance Educational Services

The Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Area, Hon. Edibo , Peter Ameh Mark, has reconstituted the Taskforce/Committee on Education, which was initially constituted during his tenure as caretaker chairman.

 

According to a statement circulated by the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, Emmanuel Ibrahim, this decision is due to the committee’s outstanding performance and the desire of the Hon Edibo to start implementing previous recommendations of the committee in order to drive improvements in the education sector.

 

Members of the committee are:

Chairman – Elder Job Musa

Secretary – Mr Danmusa Alfa

Treasurer- Mrs Cecilia A Sule

PRO – Mr Joseph Ayegba Atabo

Member – Mr Jacob Akubo

Member – Mrs Lydia Joseph

Member – Mr Akuh Paul

Member – Mr Jeremiah Omale

Member – Mr Sunday Sani

Member – Mr Attai Isah

Member – Mrs Salome Shaibu

Member – Mr Mohammed Umar

Member – Mrs Elizabeth Adejoh

Member – Mr Daniel Achimugu

Member – Mr Dominic Omachoko.

 

The reconstituted committee will resume its duties immediately, focusing on teacher training and retraining, teachers and learners incentives, developing programs for collaboration between educational stakeholders towards improving education, addressing issues relating to formal and non-formal education, and private schools, humanitarian services in education, as well as carrying out other responsibilities that will be necessary towards improving educational services in Omala LGA.

 

The chairman charges the committee to revamp educational services delivery in Omala LGA.
