Abuja, Nigeria – In a landmark humanitarian initiative, Hon. Amb. Mark Okpanachi Ogah, CEO of Anarock Global Services Limited, has officially launched the Humanitarian Volunteer Project for Africa (HVPA)—a Pan-African NGO dedicated to providing education, financial aid, and holistic support to vulnerable children affected by insurgency and conflict across Africa.

With a mission built on compassion, transparency, and long-term educational commitment, HVPA is structured to provide full scholarships, mentorship programs, emotional care, and financial assistance to orphans and their foster families. The organization also emphasizes community engagement, strategic partnerships, and advocacy for inclusive development to bridge the gap between the privileged and the underprivileged.

The project kicked off its operations at the Beriberi IDP Camp in Scitech, Jabi, Abuja, where it awarded full scholarships to the first batch of beneficiaries, covering their education from primary school to university level. To further support the welfare of these children, HVPA has placed their foster parents on a monthly stipend of ₦10,000 each, ensuring financial stability as they care for the young scholars.

Speaking at the launch event, Hon. Amb. Mark Okpanachi Ogah urged Africans, corporate bodies, and governments to invest in the education of displaced children, emphasizing that a nation’s future depends on its ability to nurture and educate its vulnerable population.

“The future of a nation can only be assured if we take wandering kids off the streets and give them education. The future of Africa depends on our compassion towards the poor and our willingness to close the gap between the rich and the less privileged. A better society is only possible if we give it our best,” he stated.

While the Beriberi IDP Camp in Abuja marks the starting point of the initiative, HVPA is not limited to the FCT or Nigeria alone. With a Pan-African vision, the NGO aims to expand its outreach across the continent, providing scholarships, psychosocial support, and empowerment programs to children and families affected by conflict, displacement, and poverty.

The launch received overwhelming support from the Beriberi IDP community, as beneficiaries and community leaders expressed deep appreciation for the initiative. Aliyu Musa, Mai Anguwa Barebari, Kado/Gwari, thanked HVPA for giving hope to the hopeless and urged the community to ensure that the scholarship beneficiaries take their education seriously as a pathway to a better future.

Similarly, the women leader of the camp offered prayers for divine blessings upon Hon. Ogah, commending his commitment to humanitarian service and social transformation.

With its first set of students enrolled and a commitment to expanding its impact beyond Nigeria, HVPA stands as a beacon of hope, working to ensure that no African child is left behind due to poverty or insurgency.
