Today the people of Agojeju-Odo in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi state formally buried their love ones.
The incident which happened exactly one year ago on the 4th of April, 2024 left scores of victims in their cold blood.
The attack which was carried out by herdsmen left more than twenty five( 25) victims in cold blood including men, women and children.
Hon Edibo Peter Ameh Mark, the Executive Chairman of Omala LGA attended the interment ceremony where he eulogized the victims in an emotional laden voice.
He noted that the ugly incident is an unforgettable tragedy.
Hon Edibo later visited the residence of all the victims who lost their love ones and he was welcomed and appreciated for been a rare gem in leadership.
Hon Edibo who attracted the Governor’s attention to the plight of the people brought the relieve that has now given the indigene the courage to return back to their ancestral homes.
He further thanked Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State and also promised to do all in his powers to continue to safeguard the life of his people and their properties.
