The Nigerian Army has warned members of the public to disregard the ongoing fake recruitment claims by mischief makers and fraudsters.

A statement by the spokesperson of the Army, Lt-Col Appolonia Anele says the claim is entirely false and misleading.

The statement reads:

“PRESS RELEASE
DISCLAIMER: NO DSSC OR SSC RECRUITMENT CURRENTLY ONGOING IN THE NIGERIAN ARMY

1. The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a fake advertisement circulating online, falsely claiming that the “Nigerian Army DSSC/SSC Application Form 2025” is currently available. This claim is entirely false and misleading.

2. The Nigerian Army has not commenced any recruitment or commissioning exercise for Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) or Short Service Commission (SSC) for the year. Members of the general public are therefore please advised to disregard the fake advertisement, as it did not originate from the Nigerian Army.

3. Whenever such recruitment exercises are scheduled to begin, the public will be duly informed through official channels with adequate publicity. The Nigerian Army warns all to be cautious and avoid falling prey to fraudsters who exploit such fake information to deceive and defraud unsuspecting individuals.

4. Anyone with information about such fraudulent activities or individuals should promptly report to the appropriate authorities for necessary action”.Army logo
