Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 18 suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State.

The suspects were arrested by Operatives of the EFCC in Prime Garden Hotel, situated in Atun-iju, Idi-iroko Road following actionable intelligence that exposed their fraudulent internet activities.

The arrested suspects

The kingpin among them is alleged to have defrauded his victim of a whooping sum of N200 million.

Items recovered from him include a red-coloured Lexus IS 250 vehicle, a box of jewelry, foreign and local currencies, a driver’s licence of a female citizen of the United State of America with the name Eva Lovia and an identification card of a male USA military officer, Julian Miguel Arroyo among others.

Recovered from others are a vehicle, laptop computers and incriminating documents.
They will be charged to court once investigations are concluded by the EFCC.
