Enemona Foundation, led by Dr (Engr) Stephen Achema Akpa, has disbursed N250,000 each to 25 women and youths in Kogi East Senatorial District, totalling N6.25 million in direct startup capital under its ongoing economic empowerment programme.

The beneficiaries, drawn from multiple local government areas across the district, completed intensive training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and vocational skills in September 2025. Each participant received the N250,000 grant to establish or expand small-scale businesses ranging from tailoring and soap-making to poultry farming and digital services.

Dr Achema, is the founder of the Enemona Foundation and CEO of Zoe New Dawn Nigeria Limited.

Coordinator of the scheme, Aminu Adamu described the initiative as a deliberate effort to tackle youth unemployment and poverty in Kogi East.

The September batch marks the first phase of the programme. Dr Achema confirmed that a second batch of 25 beneficiaries will receive the same N250,000 grant and training package in December 2025, with plans to sustain the initiative across all nine local government areas in Kogi East.
