Information reaching SPY News has confirmed resumption of flight operation by Aero Contractors on the 5th of December 2022.

Recall that the airline temporarily suspended scheduled passenger services operations with effect from Wednesday, July 20, 2022.

A notice of flight ticket on the airline’s website says “we are soaring again” capturing the date of resumption.

Notice of resumption

Aero Contractors is a state-controlled Nigerian airline company based at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.

It operates helicopter services and fixed wing domestic and international scheduled passenger services, air charter and third party aircraft operations, largely in support of Nigeria’s extensive oil and gas industry.

Since the voluntary suspension of services, the airline made efforts to resume flight services after the arrival of some of its aircraft that flew for scheduled maintenance outside the country.

But the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) was reportedly not satisfied with its resumption plans until now.

Aero Contractors is one of the oldest domestic carriers in the country.
