The Army Council has approved the  promotion of senior officers to the next ranks of Major General and Brigadier General respectively. The Federal Government has announced 77% completion of the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) which is currently under rehabilitation. The government said it has fulfilled its pledge of achieving the mechanical completion of rehabilitation work on Area 5 Plant of the refinery.
