The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has expressed concerns over the growing spate of insecurity in Kogi state ahead of the gubernatorial election scheduled for November. A 27-year-old man residing in Enugu State, South-east Nigeria, has allegedly raped his best friend’s wife. The suspect, Gabriel Gibson, popularly known as Ogidi, was said to have committed the act in his friend’s apartment at about 5 a.m. on 18 August. The police spokesperson in Enugu State, Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
