The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will carry out a mock accreditation of voters in Kogi and two other states on October 14. The governorship elections are scheduled for November 11 in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo states. Sam Olumekun, the INEC national commissioner and chairman of information and voter education committee, said that the mock accreditation would take place at 27 polling units across the three states. The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has said its officials are investigating the cause of the fire outbreak at the Supreme Court in the early hours of Monday. According to a statement, the situation has been put under control following the intervention of police officers and firefighters.
