Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has bagged a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from Baze University, Abuja. Amaechi studied at Baze University owned by Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed. Datti is the running mate to Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi. The former Rivers Speaker and Governor was among the 504 students who graduated in different fields. Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approving all the monies accruable to the Niger Delta states since 1999. Wike explained that part of the money was used for the numerous projects activated by his administration. The number of Nigerians living in poverty stands at over 133 million, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced Thursday. Similarly, the report said the poorest States are Sokoto, Bayelsa, Jigawa, Kebbi, Gombe and Yobe, but we could not say for sure which of these is the poorest, because their confidence intervals overlap. A 20 billion naira suit filed by the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, against the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has been withdrawn. A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Sobur Olayiwola Olawale has slumped and died in Jos, Plateau State. The lawmaker has the nickname ‘Omititi.’ Olawale was in Jos where he attended the APC’s presidential campaign flag-off.
