The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has threatened to sue the Federal Government over the registration of the Congress of Nigerian Universities Academics and the National Association of Medical and Dental Academics. ASUU’s lawyer, Femi Falana, said this on Channels Television, on Thursday. The minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige, had on Tuesday presented certificates of registration to CONUA and NAMDA. Gunmen has kidnapped a community leader, Mr Gashon Leks, in Daika community, Panyam district, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. The victim is the elder brother of a retired military officer in the locality, Air Vice Marshal Leks. Some residents, who spoke to PUNCH Metro, said the incident had been reported to security agents.
