The embattled Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi State, Kingsley Oggah says he remains the authentic Chairman of the Party. He implored members of the party and the general public to disregard what he called a fallacious letter suspending him which is currently trending in some online media. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised motorists and public to use alternative routes on Lagos-Ibadan expressway due to a tanker explosion in the early hours of Thursday. The explosion occurred at Araromi town before the Interchange. Ahmed Umar, the FRSC Sector Commander in Ogun, stated this in a statement issued in Abeokuta. A Police officer and 22 others have been reportedly killed in a fresh armed herdsmen attack on Gbeji community and Police Station in Ukum Local Government Area, LGA, of Benue state. SPY News gathered that the attack also left 12 natives including women with serious machete cuts in critical condition. The World Health Organization says no fewer than 44 Ugandans have lost their lives in a recent outbreak of Ebola virus in the country. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a press briefing in Geneva that there had been 60 confirmed and 20 probable cases, with 44 deaths and 25 recoveries. “We remain concerned that there may be more chains of transmission and more contacts than we know about in the affected communities,” he added.
