The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has disclosed that Nigeria Air is set to commence flight operation. However, he said it is subject to approval by the Federal Executive Council (FEC). He also disclosed that Ethiopian Airlines emerged as the preferred bidder for the airline among 60 airlines that indicated interest to operate it. The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has threatened to shut down the country if the ongoing labour action by ASUU is not resolved. A renowned human resource expert, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim, has appealed to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to obey the judgment of the National Industrial Court.
