The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Faruk Umar Mijinyawa, has pledged to support the Nigerian Army Engineers (NAE) at all times.
The GOC made the pledge on Tuesday, 28 January 2025, when the Commander Corps of Engineers (CCE), Major General Tonye Numbere paid a courtesy visit to Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army Lagos.
The GOC appreciated the CCE for visiting HQ 81 Division as his first port of call following his recent assumption of office as the 31st CCE. He assured him of his full support to the Corps.
In his remarks, the CCE, Major General Numbere thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede for the privilege accorded him to serve in the capacity and appreciated the GOC for the warm reception and hospitality accorded him and his entourage.
Major General Numbere further appreciated the GOC for the giant strides he has achieved in addressing security challenges in his area of responsibility since his assumption of command. The CCE solicited for improved collaboration for collective attainment of the COAS Command philosophy.
Highlights of the visit were the exchange of souvenirs, signing of visitors book and group photograph.
