A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Omala Local Government Area, Hon. Matthew Ochada (HMO), has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Mark Edibo Ameh on his inauguration as the Executive Chairman of Omala LGA.
The swearing-in ceremony, led by Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, took place on Monday at the Government House in Lokoja.
In his congratulatory message, Hon. Ochada expressed confidence in Hon. Edibo’s leadership capabilities, highlighting his performance during his tenure as Transition Committee Chairman.
“I heartily congratulate my brother and friend, Hon. Mark Edibo, on his swearing-in as Executive Chairman of our beloved local government. I am confident he will exceed expectations, given his demonstrated capacity to serve. We will be available to support and guide him where needed, and I pray God grants him the wisdom to lead effectively,” Hon. Ochada said.
Ochada, a former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the immediate past Governor of Kogi State urged the people of Omala to unite in their support for the newly sworn-in Chairman to ensure his success in office.
The swearing-in follows the APC’s landslide victory in last Saturday’s local government elections, where the party secured all 21 chairmanship positions and all the councillorship seats across the state. The election, conducted by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC), was widely praised for its peaceful, free, and fair conduct under the leadership of Governor Ododo.
In his address during the inauguration, Governor Ododo urged the newly sworn-in Chairmen and their Vice to dedicate themselves to serving the people they represent.
