Traditional leaders and the good people of Odo district led by the District Head of Bagaji-Odo, HRH David Akpa (Ochala Onu Ife) have endorsed Hon Edibo Mark Ameh, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for Omala local government in the forthcoming 19th October, 2024 poll as their preferred candidate.

The endorsement took place during a meeting held on Tuesday 8 October, 2024 at the residence of the District Head in Bagaji community, Omala LGA.

The District Head said the decision to endorse Hon MarkNoble was taken after due consultation with communities, traditional rulers, the community leaders, women groups and other stakeholders across Odo district.

He added that the endorsement is hinged on the exemplary leadership style that Hon. MarkNoble has demonstrated during his six months stint as the Chairman, Omala Transition Committee between January and June, 2024.

According to the traditional ruler, the APC Chairmanship Candidate was able to curb the security challenges facing the people to the best of his abilities, “So we are calling him to come and finish what he has started”, he said.

Speaking at the meeting, HRH Peter Abu (Gago of Okpotala) said the reason they are endorsing Mark is due to his track records, love, passion to serve his people and the leadership style demonstrated as a Caretaker Chairman.

He said with Mark the hitherto style of representation will be fine tuned to meet the desired expectation of the people of Omala.

Daniel Musa (Gago Olahieba) described Mark Edibo as the chosen one to take Omala to the next level of development.

Also in his remarks, Chief Audu Musa (Gago Ajokpachi-Odo) said he sees Hon. Mark Edibo as one who will make his government accessible if voted in as council chairman.

Baba Peter Muhammed (Community leader Okpotala) said, the meeting today is to reiterate their support for Mark as chairman come 19th October by giving him maximum number of votes as against what was seen in the previous council elections

Jacob Michael (Community leader Bagaji) said, Hon Mark has done so well as Chairman Transition Committee in terms of security, distribution of palliatives, provision of infrastructure and he will do more if voted as the council chairman.

While in the meeting, a call was put across to one of the Bagaji stakeholders, Okala Mark. He thanked the district head who facilitated the meeting and everyone present at the meeting. Speaking further, Okala Mark said the issue of security, lack of Bank, electricity and dilapidated school buildings across the LGA amongst other challenges will be a thing of the past when Mark is elected as the executive chairman of Omala.
