Army Headquarters Department of Civil-Military Affairs organized a high-level sensitization workshop on human rights and professional conduct for troops of the 4 Special Forces Command on Tuesday, 5 August 2025.

SPY News Nigeria gathered that the event, held at the Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja Hall, witnessed the attendance of senior officers, facilitators, and subject matter experts.

The workshop addressed key issues, including operational discipline, international humanitarian law, mental health, and family cohesion.

Major General Hillary Nzan, Commander of the 4 Special Forces Command, described the workshop as a deliberate initiative to equip personnel with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to uphold human rights and maintain professional standards.

Major General Gold Chibuisi, Chief of Civil-Military Affairs, emphasized the complex security environment and the need for troops to operate within the ambit of the Nigerian constitution, military regulations, and international conventions.
