Omala Weeps As Abubakar Alih Is Laid to Rest — Fidau Prayers Hold Tuesday

The family of late Abubakar Alih, has announced that the 3rd Day Fidau Prayers in his honour will hold on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM.

 

According to a statement signed by Mohammed Alih on behalf of the family, the prayer session will take place at the residence of the late Aliyu Ichado, in Sabongari – Abejukolo, Omala Local Government Area, Kogi State. The 8th Day Fidau Prayers will also be combined and observed on the same day.

 

The late Abubakar Alih, who before his demise was a very known staff of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, after a brief illness at a hospital in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. He has since been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites at the Muslim burial ground in Abejukolo, Omala LGA of Kogi State.

 

Members of the public, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers are cordially invited to attend and join in prayer session for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.

 

Alih’s demise has been met with profound sorrow and heartfelt grief, owing to his generous spirit and selfless dedication to uplifting others, particularly the youth. He was a pillar of support in securing educational opportunities for many, aiding numerous young individuals in gaining admission into the citadel of learning where he served with commitment and integrity. Since his passing, glowing tributes and testimonials of his benevolence have echoed across Omala communities, speaking volumes of a life lived in service to others.
