A prominent Islamic cleric and spiritual leader of the Ojo-Arahman Kunfayakun Prayer Center, His Eminence Amb. Maulana Sheikh Hassan Mikailu Abejukolo R.T.A, has commended Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his unwavering dedication to the development and security of his homeland, Omala Local Government Area.
Speaking today in Lokoja, the state capital, Sheikh Mikailu lauded the Governor’s consistent presence and interventions in Omala, highlighting the recent inauguration of the Forward Operational Base (FOB) in Bagana.
This marks Governor Ododo’s third visit to the local government within his first year in office, a gesture Sheikh Mikailu described as a pointer to the Governor’s genuine affection for the Omala people.
“I am not a politician, but I must commend the Governor for taking Omala as his second home. This is the third time he is visiting my local government in less than a year in office to see that he nip in the bud the issue of insecurity in Omala. His visit yesterday to commission the military base in Bagana clearly shows his commitment to the safety and well-being of our people. Thank you for coming to the aid of my people,” Sheikh Mikailu said.
The revered cleric further expressed gratitude to the Governor for approving and initiating the ongoing construction of the Abejukolo Township Road, which he described as a critical development project for the local government.
Sheikh Mikailu also appealed to the state government to consider constructing the road leading to his prayer center in Lokoja, emphasizing its importance for accessibility and community development.
As a spiritual leader, he pledged to continually pray for the success of the Governor’s administration, urging divine guidance and direction for the Governor in his mission to transform Kogi State.
