President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to present Nigeria’s 2023 budget in October.
Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila gave the disclosure in Abuja after inspecting hearing rooms 028 and 234 of the Lower Chamber.
SPY Reporters gathered that the rooms will serve as the temporary chamber due to the ongoing renovation of the House complex.
“I am hoping that the budget will be presented latest by first week of October”, NAN quoted him saying.
The lawmaker added that configuration of the temporary chamber would be done before September 20, date for resumption of plenary.
“We will at the end of the day be proud to have a chamber that will match the best standard all over the world,” he said.
Gbajabiamila said the renovation was largely for the benefit of the incoming 10th Assembly as it would be completed in August 2023.
