The people of Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State are set to witness what many have described as a significant boost to grassroots development as the lawmaker representing the constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Umar Yahaya, concludes plans to commission a string of community projects.

The event, billed for Saturday, April 25, 2026, is expected to attract political stakeholders, traditional rulers, youth and women groups and residents from across the local government area.

The lawmaker’s initiative, span key sectors such as water supply, security, and rural transportation, areas long identified by residents as critical to their wellbeing.

The commissioning, themed “Delivering Impact, Empowering Communities,” is seen by many residents as a step towards sustained development in Omala and its environs.
