The COAS gave the assurance on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, when he received the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.

Lieutenant General Shaibu emphasised the Nigerian Army’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property while sustaining an aggressive operational tempo geared towards neutralising threats and restoring stability nationwide. He reiterated the Army’s readiness to deepen strategic collaboration with state governments to strengthen security architecture and entrench lasting peace.

In his remarks, Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo congratulated the COAS on his appointment as the 25th Chief of Army Staff, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of his proven competence and leadership.
