The Rector of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology, Dr. Williams Charles Oluwatoyin, has taken to Facebook to share his personal experience with Hon. Matthew Ochada (HMO), who is currently vying to represent the Omala State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly.

In his post, Dr. Oluwatoyin reflected on his interactions with HMO, highlighting qualities that speak to the aspirant’s character, leadership disposition, and commitment to public service. His remarks come at a time when Ochada continues to strengthen his grassroots engagement and political presence across the constituency.

The Rector’s testimony adds to the growing conversations surrounding Hon. Ochada’s candidacy, further positioning him as a notable contender in the race for the Omala State Assembly seat.

“Matthew Ochada is not just another name on the ballot, he is a tested, trusted, and truly committed servant of the people.

I speak not from hearsay, but from direct experience. I have worked closely with Matthew at both the Yahaya Bello Media Center (YBMC) and the Buhari New Media Center (BNMC), where I served as State Director and Convener. In those spaces, where pressure, responsibility, and expectations are high, Matthew distinguished himself as a man of discipline, loyalty, and uncommon dedication.

One thing that sets him apart, and I say this deliberately, is his humility. Matthew Ochada is humble to a fault. Not the performative humility politicians display during campaigns, but a genuine, consistent character trait that reflects in how he relates with everyone, regardless of status.

He is accessible. He is present. He is reachable.

He is not the kind of politician who disappears after elections or hides behind layers of protocol. When you call him, he responds. When you need him, he shows up.

Politically, Matthew represents rare consistency. In a time when many defect, criticize, and return only when convenient, he has remained steadfast and committed to the APC, even in moments when there were no immediate rewards, no appointments, and no guarantees. That level of loyalty is not common, and it speaks volumes about his integrity and belief in the party and its ideals.

Today, I may not be from Omala or Lukago, but leadership is not confined by geography, it is recognized by character, capacity, and credibility. And on all counts, Matthew Ochada stands tall.

This is not just about voting.

This is about rewarding loyalty.

This is about choosing accessibility over distance.

This is about electing someone who has already proven himself in service.

The time has come to stand with Matthew Ochada.

The time has come to mobilize massively.

The time has come to push forward a man who has never stepped back.

Support him. Stand with him. Vote for him.”
