A prominent philanthropist and politician from Kogi State, Alhaji Idris Hussain Kashim, has announced his departure from the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), ahead of the 2027 general election.
In a statement released by Ajogwu Jerry Ochada, Spokesperson of the Idris HK Foundation, Kashim expressed gratitude to the APC leadership for providing him the platform to contest the gubernatorial election in 2015. He also thanked his supporters and well-wishers for their unwavering support over the years.
The statement read: “Ahead of the 2027 General Election, Alhaji Idris Hussain Kashim has formally resigned from the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) in a letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of the party in his country home, Ajaka, Igala-Mela/Odolu LGA of Kogi State.
Kashim, who contested the 2015 Kogi state gubernatorial election under the APC, hinted at unveiling his new political platform in the coming days, with further details to be communicated in due course.
